Hatchet 3 review

Hatchet 3 is the horror film of 2013 in the Hatchet series. It tells the story of Victor Crowley, his murderous rampage through Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp. Kane Hodder stars as Victor Crowley, Brian Quinn plays Deputy Winslow and Rileah Vanderbilt plays Misty.

The film's greatest strength is its use of practical special effects. Hatchet 3 is a horror film that employs CG effects in a lesser degree than others. Hatchet 3 has a number of makeup effects that are practical and sets that result in some really horrific scenes in the movie.

Kane Hodder is a standout among the cast and is a formidable villain. The dialogue is reminiscent of an 1980s slasher film. It's funny and funny enough. There are also some hilarious moments that stand out in all the gut-wrenching scenes.

Unfortunately, because the budget is extremely limited (reportedly one million dollars), most locations that are featured in the movie are reused locations from earlier films in the series. For example the same boathouse was used twice in the film. (click now to see vid) A lot of the locations feel like they were reused from previous films in this franchise. It's almost like it's familiar to those who've watched Hatchet or Hatchet 2.

Overall, Hatchet 3 was an enjoyable show. I liked the gory thrills it provided as well as the engaging performances of its cast members.
